Inspired by Rihanna & Coldplay's "Princess of China" song video here.
It's not often that I get inspired by music videos, but I quite like this song. There's a part in the song where I got the reference of the girl's pose in this pic. (:

My artwork's story: The Princess of China uses the golden dragon's power to save her land from defeat as she is the last warrior left.

Personal work.

i have top say, i fav almost everything you do, your art is incredible.
i notice you seem to have a favorite textured brush, at least for finishing, the lined almost scraper like brush that you use for everything from skin to metal and it works a charm. it does make me wonder how much do you vary your brushes while working on a piece? i mean, i'm trying out some more realistic style colouring (no where near your level and ps isn't a painter package sadly) but i can't ever get past a certain level of detail, like little bits of corrosion and marking on metals and hair detail, which you seem to make so easy!

don't know if it means much, but you are a massive inspiration to me - genius art on subjects i love!

Thank you very much for your kind comment!

I use quite a lot of brushes on rough surfaces. The smoother the surface, the less rough brush work it gets. I just play around with as many chalky and pastel-like brushes Painter has to offer to get the metal-corrosion effect I want. <3

This particular style of work is actually quite new to me, but it feels the most natural out of all the other experiments I've done through the years.

it really makes your art look alive, so i can see why. how did you start, as in what sort of styles?

I enjoy it! I like the dragon and how much detail you put into the scales and the shading is fantastic. I had to watch the video to see what reference you used and now I got it. It's amazing. It's a shame they didn't really have a dragon though.

It would have been epic, but then you wouldn't have drawn such an amazing piece. Or maybe you would have who knows? :D Keep being amazing.
