My completed art trade with :iconshatteredswords:

For those who don't know who David Tennant is, he stars as the tenth Doctor in Doctor Who and also in other movies that I don't really know of yet, except for Barty Crouch's son in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

He's an awesome actor.

Even though there are some flaws in this picture, I would say that it is one of the best that I have ever drawn for quite some time. So yes, I am proud.

It was quite a challenge, but it was all worth it in the end. :)

Materials used:
- A4 110gsm Canson Sketch Journal
- H to 8B Derwent graphite soft pencils
- 0.5 HB and 0.7 2B mechanical pencil
- Putty eraser (for making the streaks in his hair and for highlighting areas)
- Paper stump and tissue for blending
- Time taken: Days and days...
- The WIPs of the picture in progress: [link]
- The reference: [link]

^^^ For those that wanted to know what weird reference picture I was using, check it out above. The shadows and such were hard. :dead:

either he has a lazy eye in that pic you used, or the reflection of light makes it look like he has a lazy eye...or both. no wonder you were so confused! XD you did an excellent job overall though.

"and also in other movies that I don't really know of yet, except for Barty Crouch's son in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."

I've seen him in another movie. It was some Scottish one though. But now that you mentioned it, I wanna see the Tennet evil again!

Lovely picture Eel, I think your picture is better then the reference. : D

Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much! :D

Yeah... Now people can see why my picture looks weird. It's because of the reference picture.

I'll try not to use another weird reference picture again. :XD:

Thank you.
